New pointes again

OMJ! I haven't posted anything in such a long time. Well I was gone for the last two weeks of summer on vacation. Two days after school started. I ended up getting another pair of pointe shoes because my Freeds were too short and to make them comfortable to dance (but not walk) I had a lot of things on my feet and in the pointe shoes. So, my new pair is a pair of Russian Pointe Polette. I haven't memorized what my exact size is. I think they fit perfectly and so did my teacher. But I have one problem, I think I have a really bad ingrown toe nail. But I'm not sure because we called the docter and she said that it's just plain foot pain. When I went to two of my teachers, both of them said that it was more than likely an ingrown toe nail. I have so many foot problems it's not even funny. Sadly, I got my dad's foot, I know this because he has a lot of foot problems too and he has almost the exact same foot shape as me. This is so weird, my friend Kennedy has the exact same foot shape as me... we can wear each other's pointe shoes! How often does that happen?

Ballet Austin from my Friend

So my friend went to the second session in Ballet Austin and she hated it. First of all, she said that the dorms were really dirty and disgusting. Second, she's had about 4 or 5 months on pointe and the teachers knew that but they still gave her class extremely easy combinations. She also got really dehigrated and she got sick. Then she started having really bad allergies in her throat. So she had to go. :( she said that she would never recommend it so that made my mom not want me to go even more.

2nd Pair

Hey everybody, I know I haven't gotten on in a really long time. Ballet is all good. I took some extra classes at school a couple weeks ago and I did a workshop. I was going to do the workshop in August but I will be on vacation. Anyways, in late May I found out that my pointe shoes were "dead." So that week I went to a store where I have never been fitted for pointe shoes. Usually I just buy leotards and regular ballet shoes there because I never thought that they had any good pointe shoes. So I tried a couple pairs and I ended up taking home a pair of Capezio shoes. I also went home with one Bloch Morph shoe because someone had mixed them up etc. The day after I went to my teacher.... she hated them on my feet. I didn't tell her that I went to that one store because she really doesn't like it. My teacher told me to go to the Dance Shop and try Freed Classic, so I did. In the pointe shoe fitting area, there is a bench that is about a yard and a half long. I filled up that space in no time because I tried on so many Freed shoes. I found the pair that I wanted to buy and it is: Freed Classic 4 1/2-t (cross)-X. I don't think that all Freed Classic Shoes have the symbol because my friend got a pair and the shoe didn't have a symbol. I took them to my teacher and she said that they were good. I got them sewn and everything and I wore them for class. While I was breaking them in, I realized that they had a really small toe-box. I have to wear all these little gel things in my shoes now and it is so annoying. I really don't know if I like the Freed Classic for my foot. If you haven't realized, I have lots of pointe shoe problems just because I have a weird foot shape. For my next pair I can't decide if I'm going to try Freed Studio II or Russian Pointe. I am leaning towards the Russian Pointe because I have tried them on before and I really like them. Help me decide!

YAY!!!!! Omg my teacher finally gave us pointe shoes and yesterday was my first time to dance on them. It was so amazing. Dancing on pointe for the first time is like getting your first boyfriend, driving a car for the first time, or anything as exciting as that! Yes, yes I know your probably all wondering what kind of pointe shoes I have. I have Bloch Serenade size 4 C. At first I had Grishko but then I went to my teacher and she said that they were to big. So I had to return them and we went back to the dance store and tried on Chacott, another pair of Grishko, and last but not least dun duh dun Blochs!!! So then I really wanted to go to this other store to try on russian pointe. so i did and i bought a pair of those too. finally i went to my teacher and she liked how both of them fit and she told me to choose between the blochs or the russian pointe and i really liked the russian pointe but i didnt really like how they looked cause they were really white. so i finally made a good decision i think to get the blochs. post a comment if you have any suggestions on anything

Okay, I think she will actually give pointe shoes on friday (2-8-08) cause she was talking to my friend and she said that she just has to finish the letter that she gives us and once she does that she'll give em! if she doesnt finish em on friday she will give the letters the friday after she finishes them

Another reason why i am not going to ballet austin is because it would be my first summer camp ever away from my parents....

Sadly, I am not going to Ballet Austin and I am very iffy (sad that i am not going but glad at the same time) I am sad, yes its true but i am glad yes its true, but i am going to get pointe shoes really soon (the date was changed.. ugh) like 2-3 weeks. this is why i am not going: well, my mom and my friends mom were talking about because my mom was not really sure that she wanted me going. so they talked and then my mom called my teacher cause she wanted to talk to her and my teacher never called my mom back so my teacher brought the subject up in-front of everyone at my
pre-pointe class. then i told my teacher about what my friends mom told my mom and she (my teacher) was like " well wow i have never heard anything like that about ballet austin" the reason why i told her this was because my friends sister (the daughter of the mom that my mom was talking to) hated it and so did her mom. her mom said that there were people going to places that they werent supposed to, there were drunk people trying to get into the campus, people were getting lost in austin, people were getting on public buses, and last but not least (this is the worst) people were skipping classes!
this is one of the reasons why i am not going to ballet austin.....
i will make some other posts about the other reasons why i am not going.....
